New Orleans: Artist Wayne Manns
I was headed to breakfast at a quaint spot called "Stanley" and as I walked across Jackson Square I spotted this artist, Wayne Manns. He was gracious enough to indulge my question: What inspires you? "Jazz. My Dad....and Black Folks."
He is a self taught artist and has lived all over the world. His work has been published and some pieces are in the art collections of Quincy Jones and Bill Clinton. I laughed at the irony as he tells me the piece he is currently working on (in the photo) ...was peed on by a dog earlier this morning.

The Adventures of Aunt Nikki & Flat Stanley
I was so excited to see Flat Stanley when he arrived from Maryland! Here are a few photos from our adventures in Memphis, TN. I am currently a FedEx Scholar in the Customer-Driven MBA program at the University of Memphis. Stanley had the opportunity to explore FedEx World Headquarters and the University of Memphis. We went to the FedEx Forum to watch the Memphis Grizzlies play the Cleveland Cavaliers. Stanley went to a crawfish festival, took a horse-drawn carriage ride and danced with Elvis! He also visited the National Civil Rights Museum and the Cotton Museum. Check out the rest of our adventures.
